Mangalore, May 7: A rice laden lorry heading towards Kerala lost its control and toppled on the roadside near Netravathi Bridge on the NH 66 on Tuesday May 6. The driver and cleaner of the lorry escaped unhurt.
The lorry was coming from Karkala loded with rice bags. It is said that over speeding was the cause of the accident.
Ullal police have registered a case. Due to the accident traffic was disrupted on the route for some time.
