Mangalore, May 12: A disaster in which a two and a half year old child died after falling into a water tank occurred at Manjanady on May 11, Sunday. The deceased boy is Karthik, son of Ravi Achar.
Karthik accidentally slipped into the water tank while playing near the tank and climbing on it. The tank was of 3 feet height and was constructed by the local panchayat.
When Karthik was not seen anywhere, his parents looked inside the tank and found him dead.
It is learnt that the family had moved from Udupi to Manjanadi 2 years back.
