Mangalore, May 27: The CET results were announced by higher education minister R V Deshpande in Bangalore on Tuesday May 27. Two students from city, Soorya V K and Sumith from Mangalore have bagged the third ranks in CET medical and engineering, respectively.
The exams were held on May 1 and 2. Soorya V K, a student of Mangalore’s Expert PU College, bagged the third rank in CET medical. Whereas Sumith of Sharada PU College, Mangalore bagged third rank in engineering stream.
Out of top 50 ranks, Expert PU College has bagged 28 ranks which includes 3rd, 7th, 8th, 11th, 26th, 39th, 40th, 44th, 46th and 48th in CET Medical, 9th 13th, 30th and 47th in CET Engg, 3rd, 5th, 9th, 20th, 22nd, 25th, 28th, 29th, 31st, 45th and 47th in CET ISMH and 8th, 46th in CET architecture.
Addressing a press meet, Principal of Expert PU Collage said, “We are proud of our students who have achieved ranks and their parents who have supported their effort and hardwork. The College has been doing well every year. Out of the 711 students who appeared for CET, 500 students answered CET medical and nearly 600 wrote CET engineering. The results this year are better than last year’s.”
On this occasion, 3rd rank holder Soorya V K, 8th ranker Rakshith K S, 9th ranker Srinidhi Rao, 8th ranker Tanvi J Karia, 20th ranker Disha N, 22nd ranker Vishal S H, Collage secretary Usha Prabha N Nayak,, Prof Ramachandra Bhat, principal, Pradeep Kumar M, HoD of biology and others were present.
