Kundapur, June 3: Santosh Das alias Ghanashyam Das, the prime accused in the Moodbidri Siddantha Darshan Mandir burglary case has been taken into custody by the Kundapur police, for interrogations.
The move has been made after police suspected Santosh’s involvement in the burglary at the Mahakali Temple at Kharvikere in the town. It is learnt, he will be in police custody for two days. Sources say Santosh was not only involved in the Mahakali Temple burglary case of 2010 but also a few other cases.
Earlier, the Kundapur circle inspector Diwaker had moved the court seeking custody of Santosh Das when the latter was produced before the court on June 2, Monday.
