Bantwal, Jun 9:A private bus over turned at 4 am June 9 morning at Perne near Mangalore, which caused death of a child and injuries to 17 others.
The child (18 months old) is from Hejamady. The identities of other passangers are not yet known, among the seriously injured, four have been admitted to hospital in Puttur and 13 in Mangalore.
Bangalore to Kundapur ’Durgamba’ bus is the vehicle that overturned. The overnight monsoon rain had made the roads water logged and critical, the driver is said to have lost control, at a high speed resulting in the accident.
