Mangalore, Jun 12: PVR’s first multiplex was launched at the newly opened Forum Fiza Mall in Padeshwar in the city. It is said to be the largest multiplex in Mangalore.
The six-screen multiplex of PVR Cinemas is developed by the Prestige Mangalore Retail ventures Pvt. Ltd. Spread across an area of 38,000 sq ft, the mainstream property accommodates 1,169 seats.
Speaking to the media, Rajendra Singh, chief of operations, South India, said six big multiplex screens have been opened in Mangalore. “PVR brings you the best movie watching experience of international standards. As an introductory offer, the ticket is priced at Rs 80 for silver and Rs 150 for topper class, on all days and all shows. This offer will be valid for a month and the next rates will be announced later,” he said.
“We are planning to open cinemas in Udupi and Mysore as well. In Udupi, the location is not yet finalized, but in Mysore we have four screens with a total capacity of 1,100 seat. For the time being, we do not charge extra for 3D glasses,” he added.
As PVR expands its operations pan India, this launch takes PVR’s screen count to 427 in 98 cinemas in 42 cities in the country.
