Mangalore : Subramanya alias Subbu (27) and Krian alias Kiran alias Achyuth alias Swamy (30), aides of underworld dons Ravi Pujari and Kali Yogish were arrested by Valentine D’Souza, inspector City Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths team on Saturday, June 21 while they were plotting to murder two builders.
The arrest was made near Kuntepadavu in Permude, Bajpe. A resident of Kuntepadavu Subramanya was originally hails from Bagepalli village in Srivasapura Taluk of Kolar District while Kiran resides Modern Rice Mill, Urva Marigudi.
Three pistols, 17 live bullet rounds , Rs 1,50,000, two mobile phones have been seized from the accused.
As per the Police the accused made all preparations of murdering two builders in Mangalore as per the directions of Pujari and Yogesh.
“The accused were nabbed by the Police from OMPL shed,”informed R.Hithendra, commissioner, Mangalore City.
Kiran had attempted to murder Nagesh Poojary near PVS in the year 2011 and was also one of the accused in the murder case of Bejai Raja who was hacked death near Vas Lane on 2012. Kiran who was in judicial custody was out on bail eight months ago.
While Subramanya was out on bail on June 2 after being in judicial custody for two years.
Money sent though courier
Cash amounting Rs 2.5 lac was sent through courier, so far Rs 1.5 lac has been recovered.
“The commissioner informed so far a total of 10 criminals have been arrested under charges of threatening to kill rich people. The police team involved in the arrest will be rewarded,”said Hithendra.
Valentine D’Souza, inspector, CCB, Shyam Sundar, PSI other personnel Shashidar Shetty, Ganesh M.P, Ganesh Kalladka, Venugopal, Chandrashekar, Dinesh Bekal, Rajendra Prsad, Sudhir Shetty, Abdul Jabbar, Mani M.N and Teja Kumar were part of the operation.
