Mangalore: The CCB Police have foiled a conspiracy to murder two city builders with the arrest of two more associates of underworld don Ravi Poojary and Kali Yogish on Tuesday, June 26. The accused are identified as Sunil (22), resident of Panjimogeru and Rohit Kamath (23), from Ashwathnagar, Urva.
According to sources, the CCB police team headed by Valentine D’Souza, police inspector raided a shed in Yeyyadi Industrial area and arrested the duo. Later they were handed over to Bajpe Police.
Earlier the police had arrested two other accused namely Kiran alias Achyuta alias Swami and Subbu alias Subrahmanya, also aids of the notorious underworld dons at Permude on similar charges. However, Sunil and Rohit had given the cops a slip then. Police had seized three pistols, 17 live bullets and cash from the arrested duo.
CCB sources said Rohit and Sunil were wanted in two cases in Urva police station.
