Mangalore, July 24: To condemn the rising sexual crimes against women in the states, Student Federation of India organised a protest in which students of various colleges in the city boycotted classes and took it to streets on July 24, Thursday.
Addressing the protestors, the SFI leaders alleged that the state government was apathetic towards the soaring crimes and also charged the Chief Minister of making irresponsible statements.
Deputy Commissioner was met later by a delegation of the protestors later and they submitted a memorandum enlisting their demands.
