Mangalore, Aug 01: During the early hours of Friday August 01, an elderly woman was found murdered in her house at Alake in the city. It is suspected that she was killed for gain.
The deceased is Sushila (75), who was living all alone in the ground floor of the house while her son and daughter-in-law stayed in the first floor.
It was reported that the car which was parked outside the house is missing, the suspicion is that the assailants might have escaped in the car.
The stolen Zen car was later found near the KSRTC Bus stand at Bejai in the city. The police suspect that the assailants have fled to some other town by dumping the car.
A case has been registered and further investigations are being conducted.
