Mangalore, August 02: District administrations of DK and Udupi have declared a holiday for schools and colleges in the respective districts on Saturday following heavy rain.
The continuous rain that lashed the districts on Thursday night and Friday forced the district administrations to declare the holiday for educational institutions.
According to the meteorological department, Amasebail in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district recorded maximum rainfall of 232mm in Karnataka in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on August 01.
