Bantwal, Aug 08: Prasanna complex at Melkar junction in NH 75 was robbed by the thieves, who took away cash as well as other things from a shop here on Wednesday, Aug 06.
The shoplifting took place in Ganesh Traders, a shop belonging to Vallabhesh Shenoy located in the complex. The shutter was broken by the thieves and they escaped with a Portable generator, a Gas cylinder, 7 kg of cashew nuts and a cash of Rs 40,000 from the drawer.
The theft came into light when Vallabhesh opened the shop on Thursday and a case has been registered in Bantwal city police station.
Bantwal CI Belliyappa, SI Nandakumar, Chandrashekaraiah came to the spot and have investigated. Dog squad and finger print experts have also arrived to the place.
