Bantwal, August 11, 2014: On 10th of August, Sunday morning; a young auto rickshaw driver was found murdered in a storm water drain at Nettarakere near Maripalla which is suspected to be a crime in hatredness.
The deceased is identified as Rifayi (25), who is suspected to have been murdered at night on August 9, Saturday. He was a resident of Maripalla. Sources revealed that Rifayi was killed to retaliate the murder of Naushad (27) on June 21 near a mosque at Maripalla. Rifayi is said to be the brother of one of the accused in the Naushad murder case.
Three men had hired Rifayi’s auto rickshaw to go to Polali on Saturday evening at around 7 pm, Rifayi was last seen. Since he went strangely missing, his family members as well as the fellow auto men tried to call his cell phone but it was switched off. Later a missing case was filed at Bantwal police station.
It has been gathered that Rifayi was last seen on Saturday evening at around 7 pm, when three men had hired Rifayi’s auto rickshaw to go to Polali. As he went missing mysteriously, the fellow auto men as well as his family tried to call his cell phone but in vain as it was switched off. Finally a case of missing was filed in Bantwal Rural Police Station.
On Sunday morning, few local’s found the body and intimated the Bantwal rural police at once. Finger print experts and dog squad have been rushed to the spot. Cops are trying to collect the information pertaining to the three strangers who had hired the auto rickshaw of Rifayi.
It has to be noted that in the murder case of Naushad, who was a history sheeter; the cops had taken six persons into custody.
