Mangalore Aug 20: As part of Shri Krishna Janmastami celebration, Kadri cricketers organized a ‘Rhythmic Nite’ on the occasion of ‘Mosaru kudike’ at Kadri grounds on August 18 Monday.
The crowd gathered in large tapped their toes to the songs of renowned background singers Ambili Menon and Sangeetha during the musical nite. Mangalore based young actor cum director Rakshith Shetty participated as the special guest on the occasion.
Little kids from Mangalore’s famous dance troupe ‘Ocean Kids’ enthralled the audience with their performances. Small screen actress and anchor Sushmitha Rao along with Roopesh Shetty filled glamour on stage as a MC.
Prior to the cultural programme, MLA J R Lobo inaugurated the stage programme and Mangalore City Corporation Mayor Mahabala Marla presided over the event.
MLC Ivan D’souza, MLA Moideen Bava, former Mayor Shashidhar Hegde, corporator Prakash Salian, businessman A J Shetty and A Sadananda Shetty, Lakshmeesh Bhandary, District Congress Youth president Mithun Rai, Amritha V Kadri, Dinesh Devadiga, Elias Sanctis, Kishore D Shetty and Srinivas Deshpande participated as the guests.
Later the organizers honoured local corporator and Mangalore Town planning development president Ashok Kumar D K on the occasion.
State Health and Family welfare minister U T Khader, who arrived later, wished the programme to be a successful event.
Manohar Prasad compered the programme.
Raviprakash Bhat, Mohan Koppal Kadri and Prasanna Madhubhan were honoured with the memento. Origination president Dhanraj and other office bearers were present on the occasion.
