Konkan Railway Corporation on Sunday cancelled 16 trains while rescheduling and diverting a few other trains after a goods train derailed near Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.
According to Konkan Railway Corporation, seven wagons of the goods train derailed near Ratnagiri on Sunday morning. Work was on to clear the track, he said.
Konkan Railways has cancelled Train No. 2003 Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus-Karmali Shatabdi Express and Train No. 02006 Karmali-Lokamanya Tilak Double-Decker on Monday.
The following trains were cancelled on Sunday: No. 10215 Madgaon-Ernakulam Express, No. 01003 Dadar-Sawantwadi Special, No. 10103 Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai-Madgaon Mandovi Express, No. 12051 Dadar-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express, No. 02005 Lokamanya Tilak-Karmali Special Double-Decker, No. 50107 Sawantwadi-Madgaon passenger, No. 50103 Dadar-Ratnagiri passenger, No. 10104 Madgaon-Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai Express, No. 12052 Madgaon-Dadar Janshatabdi Express, No. 01042 Karmali-Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai Special, No. 50106 Sawantwadi-DIVA passenger, No. 50108 Madgaon-Sawantwadi passenger, No. 50104 Ratnagiri-Dadar passenger and No. 02004 Karmali-CSTM Shatabdi Premium Special. Train No. 50105 DIVA-Sawantwadi Passenger was cancelled at Roha.
Train No. 16345 Netravati Express was diverted and No. 22150 Pune-Ernakulam Express left Pune on Sunday at 9.35 p.m.
Southern Railway
In another press release, the Southern Railway said that Train No.10216 Ernakulam Junction-Madgaon Weekly Express that was to leave on Monday has been cancelled. Train No. 19578 Hapa-Tirunelveli Express has been diverted via Panvel, Karjat, Pune, Meeraj, Londa and Madgaon.
