Mangalore, August 30: Under the organisation of Keshav Smriti Samvardhana Samithi, the 67th public annual Ganeshotshava celebrations opening Ceremony was held on Friday at Sanghaniketan. Mayor of Mangalore City Corporation, Mr Mahabala Marla lighted the lamp and inaugurated the formal ceremony.
Through a grand procession, the statue of Lord Sri Mahaganapati was brought to Sanghaniketan in the morning. Followed by the Vedic procedures the idol was staged on the dias, it was followed by flag hoist and by lighting the lamp the programme began. In this celebration, the President of Keshav Smriti Samvardhana Samithi P.Vaman shenoy, P.Vinod Shenoy Secretary, K.Raghuveer Kamath, Chairman of the Board of Public Ganeshotsav K.Praveen Kumar, Vice President J.K.Rao, Balakrishna Kottary, K.P.Tailor,Captain Brijesh Bhatt, Raghavendra Holla, secretary M.Sathish Prabhu, treasurer S.R.Kudwa G.V.Bhat, Assistant Secretaries Harshavardhan, Suresh Kamat, k.Jeevan Raj Shenoy and executive members were present.
This is grand Ganeshotsav celebration will continue for five days with great devotion and pomp.
