Mangalore, September 5: The grand procession of the Idol of Lord Ganesha before disbanding was carried in various streets on Thursday night, which was worshiped in public at Nehru Maidan of the city from a past few days under the organisation of the Hindu Yuva Sena.
Over 30 tablos, music of the trumpets, band, Nasik band, D.J. music, devotional songs, bhajan and dance were performed along with the procession of the Idol which was carried in the various streets of the city. Various kinds of crackers were burst which appeared colourful in the sky during night.
By evening, the traffic faced a complete jam and the cops were doing their best to clear the traffic by providing alternative means.
Precautionary measures were adopted by the cops to avoid untoward incidents.
