BANGALORE: Here is a better way to file taxes and receive returns without waiting and wandering from office to office. The Income Tax Department in Bangalore has again launched the special counters for salaried employees, pensioners and private company employees and businessmen to file their taxes and tax returns at a one-stop shop facility. These counters will be opened from 10am to 5pm at Kings Court adjacent to Gayatri Vihar within Palace Grounds from July 27 to 31.
The department expects more than one lakh footfalls during these five days. People will be supported at every step by officials of ITD and e-filing will be helped out also. There will be facilities like food court, ATM machines and photocopying machines for people to get their job done within minutes and without waiting.
Last year there were more than 30 counters.
