Bangalore, Oct 26, 2013, DHNS: Two persons — a guard and a youth, were found murdered in City on Saturday morning.
Whitefield Police, on being alerted by residents of Nelloorahalli about foul smell emanating from a security guard’s cabin at a mobile tower in the area, rushed to the spot to break open the door and find the guard murdered. According to T D Pawar, DCP (South-East), miscreants had slit the throat and tried to burn the body found in partially burnt state.
The deceased has been identified as Abdullah, 60. Whitefield Police said the mobile tower is installed by Viom Networks where Andullah was working as security guard. Police said they would seek information from the private security agency and mobile tower company. They have registered a case of murder and are investigating.
In another incident, a youth was found with grevious injuries beside a bus stop near Hosaguddadahalli Arch on Mysore Road in the wee hours on Saturday.
Anand, an auto rickshaw driver, who found the youth abandoned by the roadside near Hosaguddadhalli Arch at around 2 am Saturday morning, alerted the police who rushed to the spot and shifted the man to Victoria Hospital.
The youth, however, succumbed to his injuries at Victoria Hospital an hour later. The deceased is yet to be identified. The deceased had sustained stab injuries on his left thigh and head. Byatarayanapura Police have registered a murder case and are investigating.
11 arrested for dacoity
As many as 13 persons have been arrested in two separate cases, for allegedly conspiring dacoity in the City.
The CCB sleuths on Friday arrested four persons who allegedly plotted a dacoity in Wilson Garden.
The arrested are Sohail, 23, Afroz Pasha, 27, Lokesh, 28 and Raghavendra, 31. Police said two more suspects Rohith and Manjunath escaped in their cars during the raid. Police have recovered lethal weapons, a cash of Rs 13,400 and a car from the arrested.
A case has been registered at Wilson Garden police station and the Central Crime Branch police are on the lookout for the two.
Police said Sohail is a rowdy sheeter in Banashanakari police station and Afroz Pasha in Kumaraswamy Layout police station.
They are booked in many cases including murder, attempt to murder, abduction, robbery and dacoity.
