Bangalore, November 26: A 16-year-old girl was raped allegedly by an acquaintance and his friends in HAL police station limits on Friday.
Based on a complaint by the girl’s parents, the police nabbed the acquaintance, Hussain, and one of his friends, Waseem. They are searching for three other accused.
According to the police, the victim was lured by Hussain. Along with his friends, he took her to an isolated place near BEML guest house where she was gang-raped.
They threatened the victim with dire consequences if she revealed the incident to others before dropping her home.
The incident came to light on Monday when the victim complained of severe stomach ache. The girl’s parents took her to a doctor who said that she had been raped. Upon questioning, the girl revealed that she had been sexually assaulted based on which the parents filed a complaint with the HAL police.
